Testing Cosmological solutions in M theory (part 1)

We analyze four-dimensional Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker cosmologies in type IIB, arising from a M-theory dual, and study their EFT consistency condition. We find out that for open and flat FRLW solutions one needs to obey the 4d Null Energy condition in order to have a EFT description in the UV complete theory. Therefore NEC violating theories such as bouncing solution in flat FRW are problematic to have a UV complete description in our current study.
