Theory HEP SeminarOrthogonal Technicolor with Isotriplet Dark Matter on the LatticeAri HietanenOdenseI will first give a review on technicolor and how the strong dynamics can give masses to the elementary particles. Then I will present a study of a specific techncilor model on the lattice, the Orthogonal Technicolor. It is an SO(4)-gauge theory with two Dirac Wilson fermions transforming according to the vector representation of the gauge group. When used to break the electroweak symmetry dynamically the model leads to a natural dark matter candidate. The goal of the lattice study is to determine if the theory breaks chiral symmetry or has a infrared fixed point.
