EDI (equity, diversity, inclusion) beyond policy

In recent years EDI (equity, diversity, inclusion) has become a buzzword in the academic world. Universities across the country are developing EDI strategic plans, and EDI statements are now essential part of research proposals and applications for academic positions. In this talk I will discuss possible frameworks for critical reflection on inequity and exclusion in the STEM fields to contribute to an understanding of EDI beyond its focus on representation and recruitment.
