Subject: [Ipp] IPP meetings during CAP congress in Toronto in June

Dear IPP Members,

As I explained to you earlier this year we will be hosting an IPP
town hall meeting to gather input and stimulate community discussion
ahead of the NSERC-sponsored long range plan that will get underway
later this year.

The CAP has recently published the broad outline of their June congress:

In particular I draw your attention to the Friday morning slot where
they refer to our town-hall as the "IPP General Meeting". We'll use
the first hour (or less) of the town hall to do the IPP AGM business.

Also, I'd like to draw the IPP Trustees' and institutional reps'
attention to the Thursday afternoon slot where we have scheduled the IPP
Board meetings. I'm working with Isabel Trigger (the PPD chair) to find
a time that avoids conflicting with a PPD session. If she really needs
to schedule PPD talks that afternoon then we may consider an evening
meeting of the IPP Board. This can only be confirmed after the PPD
sessions are finalised (in the next month, or so).

Details on the locations and final times for these meetings will be
coming later in the spring, but the dates are now fixed.

In the meantime Council will be meeting in mid-April to discuss
soliciting input for and the agenda of the town-hall meeting. In the
meantime, please feel free to contact me, or any member of Council (as
some of you have already ;) with any input you have.

William
