The hands-on summer school is intended for graduate students who have a
basic understanding of AFM. Topics include non- contact and tapping mode,
operation in liquids and force spectroscopy as well as imaging modes such as
dissipation, Kelvin, electrostatic and magnetic force microscopy. Two days
of morning lectures and hands-on training in the afternoon with an evening
poster session will train and foster a community of practitioners of advanced
AFM techniques.
Registration necessary, limited number of participants for hands-on sections!
Cost: $50
Location:
Ernest Rutherford Physics Building, |
The workshop will focus on the latest developments in the field of
Piezoresponse Force Microscopy (PFM) and conductive AFM. It will consist
of tutorial lectures by leading experts in the field as well as hands-on
demonstration sessions given by major manufacturers of SPM systems.
