New Dimensions In Particle Physics and Cosmology

Jim Cline

It has long been theorized that there could be compact extra dimensions which are so small as to have escaped our notice. More recently it was suggested that the extra dimensions could be large, even infinite in size, if we are somehow stuck on a 4-dimensional slice of the larger spacetime. I will talk about some of the implications of this radical idea for particle physics experiments, and for the evolution of the universe.
