Richard Holman Carnegie Mellon University Most if not all early Universe processes involve the dynamics of quantum fields. Such processes include inflation, topological defect formation amongst others. The tools to do these calculations have been developed over the last few years with some surprising results. I will discuss our work on non-equilibrium inflation, as well as our more recent work on Large N Yukawa theories.
