Wavelet Analysis in Physics and Applied Science

Igor Dremin

Lebedev Institute of Physics

Wavelets have been widely used for analysis of data in physics and applied science. They reveal both scale-dependent and scale-independent features of the processes. The applications of the wavelet analysis to nucleus-nucleus collisions, as well as to aviation, engines, medicine, image compression etc. are reviewed.
