Igor Dremin Lebedev Institute of Physics Wavelets have been widely used for analysis of data in physics and applied science. They reveal both scale-dependent and scale-independent features of the processes. The applications of the wavelet analysis to nucleus-nucleus collisions, as well as to aviation, engines, medicine, image compression etc. are reviewed.
