In the 20 years since the creation of the Canadian Astronomy Data Centre (CADC), the world of data archiving has changed dramatically. CADC has played a significant role in that evolution as the source of numerous innovations and CADC continues in a leading role in the era of the Virtual Observatory. With the support of the CSA, CADC is playing a key role in pushing back the frontiers in the areas of advanced data products and services for Hubble Space Telescope. Planning is underway to do the same for the JWST mission and we are providing archival access to data from the FUSE and MOST missions. I will review the main CADC innovations in the world of data management and discuss our role in the Virtual Observatory, new science projects and tools, and the development of our infrastructure and expertise.
