All-order medium-induced radiation: from static to dynamic media

The medium-induced gluon radiation spectrum (or rate) is the building block of jet quenching, a phenomenon known to be of crucial importance to describe the properties of the quark-gluon plasma produced in heavy-ion collisions. In the last years, several approaches have achieved the evaluation of the all-order spectrum, including the resummation of all multiple scatterings, beyond the usually employed analytic approximations. I will present these approaches, show their results for static media, and discuss some of the possible ways and the difficulties that may arise when applying these formalisms to more realistic dynamic media.
