α-corrected abstract

Recently, all duality invariant α'-corrections to the massless NS-NS sector of string theory on time-dependent backgrounds were classified and the form of their contribution to the action were calculated. This was done by exploiting a global O(d,d) symmetry that appears once we consider pure time-dependent backgrounds. I will revisit these results, show how we can introduce matter sources in a fully O(d,d) covariant way and discuss perturbative and non-perturbative solutions to the α' corrected cosmological equations. The presentation will be based on arXiv:1911.00088.
