Seminar in Hadronic Physics

Transport of hard probes through glasma

Alina Czajka

National Centre for Nuclear Research, Warsaw

At the seminar, I will discuss how the glasma, that is produced in the earliest phase of heavy-ion collisions, influences transport of hard probes. First, I will describe methods that we use to study the early time dynamics and transport of hard probes. Then, I will discuss main characteristics of the glasma encoded in the energy-momentum tensor: energy density, pressure, spatial eccentricity, Fourier coefficients of the azimuthal flow and angular momentum. The last and main part of the talk will be devoted to transport of the hard probes moving through the glasma: the transverse momentum broadening coefficient and collisional energy loss. The limitations of the whole approach will be also briefly discussed.
