Higher Spin Generalization of the 6-Vertex Model and Macdonald Polynomials

Tiago Dinis

Symmetric polynomials appear quite often in physics, and notably in Integrable Systems. In this talk, I will speak about the 6-Vertex Model, a quantum integrable model. It turns out that its partition function is a Schur polynomial. Moreover, we can generalize the model for higher spins, and in that case, the partition function will become a Macdonald polynomial.
