Thermalization: results, issues, perspectives

In this talk, I will try to review our current understanding of the pre-equilibrium stage of the Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP). To do so, I will elaborate on the three main tools at our disposal to theoretically study the (supposed) approach to thermal equilibrium of the QGP: Ads/CFT inspired technics, kinetic theory and effective QCD theory.
