Double Field Theory: an Introduction

We will show how to build a T-dual covariant manifest action for the action of the massless degrees of freedom of a string. In order to do so, we will follow a couple of lectures from Barton Zwieback in which he introduces Double Field Theory (DFT). Then, we show how to recover the equations of motion in this framework and generalize the relativistic point particle to the DFT point particle.
