Seminar in Hadronic PhysicsTidal Love number of neutron stars and gravitational wavesChang-Hwan LeePusan National UniversityGravitational waves (GW170817) from a binary neutron star merger have been detected by advanced LIGO, followed by a series of observations in electromagnetic waves from gamma-ray (GRB170817A) to radio waves. These observations opened a new era of multi-messenger astronomy. Furthermore, analysis of gravitational wave can constraint the tidal deformability of neutron stars. In this talk, I will review the tidal Love number and deformability of neutron stars and their implications to the gravitational waves and neutron star equation of state.
