A 2D Stress Tensor for 4D Gravity

The subleading soft-graviton theorem is the Ward identity for the asymptotic Virasoro symmetry of quantum gravity in flat spacetimes. We use this soft-theorem to construct a two-dimensional stress tensor whose insertion in the four-dimensional tree-level quantum gravity S-matrix obeys the Virasoro-Ward identities of the energy momentum tensor of a two-dimensional conformal field theory.
