Theory HEP SeminarNatural SUSY at 13 TeV: not quite dead yetAngelo MonteuxRutgersI will present the latest constraints on various simplified models of natural SUSY with light higgsinos, stops and gluinos, using a comprehensive reinterpretation of the most recent 13 TeV ATLAS and CMS searches presented at ICHEP 2016. In contrast with the “gloom and doom” outlook seen recently, I will show that simple departures from the most vanilla MSSM scenario (as with heavier valence squarks or RPV) can still have 10% fine-tuning and be fully natural. I will discuss the prospects up to the high-luminosity LHC era, where we expect an across-the-board improvement of ~1 TeV in the reach for all sparticles, at the end of which the last word on natural supersymmetry will finally be out.
