Quasi-Characters and the Classification of 2d CFT With Two Primaries

Sunil Mukhi

IISER, Pune

The classification of 2d CFT has gained considerable impetus in recent years with two major results: quasi-characters and the meromorphic coset construction. The former gives a complete classification of all pairs of admissible vector-valued modular forms of rank two (arXiv:1810.09472). These give candidate CFT partition functions, but not all of them correspond to actual CFT's. The coset construction then provides a concrete way to establish which of them are indeed CFT's. After reviewing these developments I will discuss ongoing work on a complete classification of all CFT's with two primaries and c < 25.
