Constraints on neutrino masses from thermal leptogenesis

Alessio Notari

Mcgill

I will analyze what are the actual constraints on neutrino masses if we require that the observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe is explained by thermal leptogenesis mechanism. I will do it by reviewing the mechanism, and the main thermal corrections. And by discussing bounds on the CP asymmetry in the decay of the right-handed neutrinos, for any hierarchy of their masses.
