Interacting dark matter and dark energy, how crazy is that?!

I will discuss a recent observation of the BOSS collaboration which hints for new physics beyond ΛCDM. I will show that one explanation involves interactions between dark energy and dark matter. I will then discuss a recent paper by Yi-Fu Cai et al. They show that such interactions would have interesting consequences in the context of matter bounce cosmology.
