Studying wave optics in exoplanet microlensing light curves

Sohrab Rahvar

Perimeter Institute

I will give a brief introduction on gravitational microlensing as one of the methods for the exoplanet observation. Then I will discuss about the wave optics feature of the gravitational microlensing by a binary system, composed of star and a planet and production of the diffraction patterns from this system on the observer plane. Finally for the observational prospects, I will discuss about possibility of benefiting SKA project for this observation and how this method can break partially the degeneracy between the lens parameters.
