Wormholes, ETH & random matrices

Simon Ross

Durham University

It has been conjectured that arbitrary entangled states have a wormhole description. I will describe how ETH and random matrix ensembles can be used to study two-point functions in the thermofield double state and more general states with the same degree of entanglement, testing this conjecture. I will then discuss work in progress on challenges in reproducing expected behaviour of correlation functions on the thermofield double state using these ensembles.
