Entanglement shadows in LLM geometries

Simon Ross

Durham

Entanglement shadows are regions of spacetime that the minimal surfaces dual to entanglement entropy don't enter. They form an obstruction to the general reconstruction of spacetime geometry from entanglement. I will discuss work in progress on examples of this phenomenon in the LLM geometries, which are dual to 1/2 BPS states in N=4 SYM.
