Closed Strings in Open String Field Theory

I will describe a new cohomology in open string field theory that is in 1-1 correspondence with the set physical closed string states. The algebraic structure underlying this cohomology provides a simple unifying description of open and closed string field theory in terms of homotopy algebras which I will describe. I will also briefly sketch the quantum version of this correspondence.
