Loop Quantum Gravity effects in the Early Universe

Recent advances in the cosmological setting of Loop Quantum Gravity are discussed. These include resolution of the initial singularity and the new physics which emerges at the Planck scale. I will discuss some applications to inflationary and non-inflationary scenarios in the early Universe and the way modified Friedmann dynamics is related to that in string-inspired brane worlds. I would also discuss application of these ideas to investigate generation of desired spectrum of primordial perturbations.
