The Latest from MiniBooNEHirohisa TanakaMiniBooNE/Princeton UniversityThe Mini Booster Neutrino Experiment (MiniBooNE) at Fermilab is searching for the neutrino oscillations indicated by the LSND experiment. Confirmation of this mode of oscillation would indicate a break from the Standard Model of particle physics. Such new physics could take the form of heretofore unseen sterile neutrinos or exotic forms of symmetry breaking that would dramatically change the landscape of particle physics. MiniBooNE finished data-taking in neutrino mode in 2005 and is now taking data with a primarily anti-neutrino beam. Analysis of the neutrino data is in its final stages with results expected soon.
