Probing pseudo-Goldstone dark matter

Thermal WIMPs are a well-motivated dark matter candidate, and are being searched by various experiments. However any clear signature is not observed yet and these experiments impose constraints on thermal WIMP scenarios. In particular, the constraint of the recent direct detection experiments are stronger and stronger. In this talk, we propose a model of pseudo-Goldstone dark matter, and we show that the dark matter can naturally avoid the strong constraint of dark matter direct detection. In addition to detailed calculation of dark matter direct detection cross section, the other ways of probing the dark matter are also discussed.
