The problem with a small and positive cosmological constant

Thomas Van Riet

KU Leuven

In this talk I will explain why a small and positive value of a cosmological constant is peculiar both from an effective field theory viewpoint and a string theory viewpoint (Swampland vs Landscape). I explain how trying to understand this could also be turned into an opportunity. The style of the talk will be over-viewing and pedagogical (hopefully).
