Quantum information and quantum gravity

There has been much recent progress in the intersection between quantum information and quantum gravity. In this talk, I will explain some tantalizing clues to a potential deeper connection between the two fields. In particular, I will focus on the applications of entanglement entropy and Holevo information to deep questions in high energy physics regarding the applicability of the AdS/CFT correspondence and the black hole microstate distinguishability problem.
