In 1993 the U.S. Supreme Court instructed federal judges that they must serve a `gatekeepers' to ensure that juries are not exposed to scientific nonsense. In fact we all, scientific societies, scientific journals and individual scientists, share a responsibility for exposing foolish and fraudulent scientific claims.
