Bienvenue, I am a theoretial physicist and a physics teacher, (and also a few other things). I am
- an Adjunct member of the Department of Physics at McGill University,
- a member of the Physics Department of Marianopolis College,
- an associate member of the Trottier Space Institute (TSI),
- a collaborator member of the Centre de Recherche en Astrophysique du Québec (CRAQ) and
- a SALTISE Innovator .
Teaching
I am interested in using active learning techniques in my physics and history of science courses and in particular I like to use a flipped classroom with reflective writing and peer instruction. I am also exploring the use of pictures and drawings instead of equations to learn abstract concepts in physics. I enjoy getting Cégep and undergraduate students involved in my theoretical physics research.
Research
Currently my research involves 21 cm cosmology, cosmic strings, neutrino physics, and using machine learning to detect new physics.
