Curriculum Vitae

Contact: [email protected]

I  work on all aspects of the group's research, from the theoretical modelling of first-generation galaxies to figuring out new observational signatures for constraining cosmological theories to data analysis algorithms and actual data analysis. Outside of work I enjoy swimming, climbing, and listening to classical music.

 Postdoctoral Scholars

Dr. Debanjan Sarkar

Trottier Space Institute Fellow

I specialize in using the line intensity mapping technique to study cosmology and astrophysics, particularly in theoretical modelling. Additionally, I study the bispectrum signal for future galaxy surveys, investigating the detection prospects of bispectrum multipoles.

You?

We are actively looking for enthusiastic postdoctoral scholars to join our research group. Please consider applying for the CITA National Fellowship, the McGill Space Institute (MSI) Fellowship, or (for Canadians) an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship if your interests and values are aligned with ours!

Graduate Students

Lisa McBride

PhD student (Yay! Congrats!)

I work on line intensity mapping and how the analysis of multiple spectral lines (from neutral hydrogen, ionized carbon, carbon monoxide...etc) in upcoming cosmological surveys can inform us about our Universe. I also work on dust modelling for CMB experiments with Dr. Phil Bull of QMUL.

Hannah Fronenberg

PhD student

I incorporate real-world effects into cosmological forecasts to figure out the ultimate scientific reach of new intensity mapping and CMB lensing experiments. I have also examined the way in which Fast Radio Bursts can constrain reionization.

Website

Bobby Pascua

PhD student

I work on various aspects of 21cm data analysis, with my current focus being new methods for calibrating radio interferometers.

Mattéo Blamart

PhD student

I work on developing statistics beyond the power spectrum for describing 21cm fluctuations with the light cone effect. I also work with Prof. Robert Brandenberger on cosmic strings.

Rebecca Ceppas de Castro

MSc student

I work on the CHORD telescope, investigating how measurements of individual HI-rich galaxies can help sharpen cosmological constraints from intensity mapping.
